About Lydia
Like many others with wavy or curly hair, I grew up without any guidance on how to care for or embrace my natural waves. I often saw my hair as nothing more than frizzy and unruly, inevitably forming an awkward triangle shape. This sparked an endless quest to tame it, making me feel out of place within the hair community. I was too wavy for a traditional salon yet not curly enough to fit into the curly group. It wasn't until I started my journey to become a curl specialist that I discovered my hair wasn't a burden, but rather a beautiful part of my identity.
I openly share my own journey with self-love, my battles with anxiety, and my efforts to remain present in our fast-paced world. The vision for Flourish Curl Studio emerged during a time when I craved growth, kindness, and meaningful work—a sanctuary for everyone who walks through our doors, a limitless space for knowledge, and a haven for relaxation and authentic connections.
My mission is simple: to spread love, passion, and a welcoming environment to all those I encounter. In a world that often feels too fast-paced, I truly believe we need more empathy and kindness, and I’m committed to embodying that in my work every day

For over eight years, I have devoted my career as a hairstylist specializing in curly and wavy hair.
Through numerous educational courses with organizations such as Deva Curl, Forever Curls Academy, Cut It Kinky, and Rezo, I have acquired extensive knowledge about every curl type and the various methods of caring for curly hair.
